From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
My name is Walt Lockley, and I'm an architectural consultant and writer based in Scottsdale, Arizona, US.
My contributions to Wikipedia concentrate on design issues. Product design, interior design, architecture. These fields, they're all the same thing. And they're all in terrible shape.
Looking back, by describing some of the work already done by Bernard Rudofsky, Charles Moore, Henry Dreyfuss, Frederick Law Olmsted, John Lautner, Victor Gruen, Samuel Mockbee, William H. Whyte, Lawrence Halprin, and other godparents who saw the link between human scale, user experience, and the social impact of their designs, we can recognize what's been done before.
Looking forward, supporting the work of William McDonough, Ken Yeang Will Bruder, grandmaster Lawrence Halprin, Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, Jon Jerde, James Polshek, grandmaster Oscar Niemeyer, Jan Gehl, and current Bauhaus director Omar Akbar, we push good design ideas forward.
Feel free to drop me an email at feedback AT waltlockley.com.
Cheers.
