World Championship Sports Network
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
World Championship Sports Network is an American television network that airs various sports, mainly those contested in the Olympic Games.
WCSN distributes its content in three ways:
- A series of syndicated television programs called World Championship Sports that air on such networks as Comcast SportsNet, Altitude Sports and Entertainment, and ION Life.
- A 24-hour-a-day cable and satellite network, which is also seen over the air on a digital subchannel in some markets. (see below)
- An online streaming video service. This is a paid service which costs $4.95 a month or $49.95 a year.
Over 20 sports are shown on WCSN, including bicycling, skiing, snowboarding, gymnastics, swimming, diving and badminton.
WCSN has partnerships with MLB Advanced Media, FoxSports.com, NBC Olympics, ESPN360, and Sirius Satellite Radio for various events and production assistance.

In other territories, a blackout may be imposed depending on the event. To enforce blackout rules, WCSN checks the user's IP address.
[edit] History
WCSN dates back at least to 2005, when it covered the United States Track and Field Championships via streaming video.
