WLOP (1370 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Sports radio format. Licensed to Jesup, Georgia, USA. The station is currently owned by Jesup Broadcasting Corp. and features programing from Fox Sports Radio.[1] WLOP is Jesup's heritage station. Use of the term WLOP by older Jesup/Wayne County natives can signify either WIFO-FM or WLOP. WLOP, meaning 1370-AM is usually referred to by long time listeners as "The AM" or "The AM Side". This dates back to when both stations were simulcast for a large portion of the broadcast day, and how they were referred to on air. However, since the inception of separate formats in the mid/late 90's, WIFO is almost exclusively referred to by most listeners as "Big Dog", and WLOP as FSR, AM-1370, or just WLOP. Since the fire that destroyed the original 1949 studios on 12/7/05, and the building of new studios (occupied 6/24/2006), WLOP has become a local favorite 24/7
