WKLD (97.7 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Country format. Licensed to Oneonta, Alabama, USA, it serves the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area. The station is currently owned by Blount County Broadcasting Service Inc..

The "LD" in the call letters stand for the station's founder, owner and beloved on-air host, Luther Daniel "L.D." Bentley. For the first few decades of its existence, the station was a multi-format station featuring a wide-ranging selection of music, talk and entertainment programs.

One of the most popular WKLD programs is its early morning talk and music program "Early Riser" hosted by the brother and sister team of Danny Bentley and Terri (Bentley) Lowry. Another WKLD favorite is Wayne Shaddix.

It's interesting to note that Atlanta's (WABE) All Things Considered host, John Lemley, began his radio career at WKLD at the tender age of 16. For a brief time in 1984 he hosted the afternoon drive (adult contemporary) music program.
