The Wildest Dreams Worldtour was a record-breaking world-wide concert tour by Tina Turner from 1 May 1996 to 10 August 1997. It sold out stadiums and arenas all over the world. The European leg of the tour was a total of 152 shows in eight months. The tour itself lasted over 250 shows including 18 shows in Australia, 2 shows in Africa and 2 shows in Asia before heading off to North America in May 1997. The tour grossed a reported $100 million in Europe alone and around $30 million in the North American leg. The opening act for the North American and Candian tour was Cyndi Lauper.

A VHS was released later and shows one of the three sold out concerts in the new Amsterdam ArenA, where she was the first ever Performer who give an Concert in this new Arena. The VHS was 1998 Nominated by a Grammy for Best Long Form Video but lost.

The setlist varied throughout the tour; various songs were swapped around for the first few months. The costumes were also different on the South African leg (dates of which are unknown) and the first few months of the European tour. A standard setlist remained in place for the last half of the European tour, Australian tour and North American tour.
