[edit] Bristol Rovers F.C. is a GA
Hi, Saw your announcement, It's not a particular interest of mine but you may be interested to know Bristol Rovers F.C. is already a GA if you want to tag it.— Rod talk 11:33, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cardiff City F.C.
Should Cardiff City F.C. be included in this task force. They're Welsh, but play in an English league. And also other Welsh clubs e.g. Swansea City A.F.C. and Wrexham A.F.C. I'd include them. What do you guys think? Mattythewhite 08:52, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would say yes, as they are involved in the English football league. Hopefully fans of these clubs will understand why there are covered by the England task force! Dave101→talk 14:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Navigation box templates for all Championship clubs
I went ahead and created navigation box templates for all of this season's Championship clubs that didn't have them. Some are a bit skimpy as I only used information readily available in the club's article or category. I used the Hull City template as a basis as it was fairly well fleshed out. I didn't modify existing templates except QPR's (changed colour to a shade of blue closer to the club's own) and Wolves' (changed from orange to gold), and spell out "Football Club" in the title bar for those clubs that had it abbreviated.
I also grouped all football templates for each club like this (Except Cardiff's, which wasn't set up to use the start and end templates):
{{fb start}}{{Club Navbox Template}}{{Original Football League clubs}} (if applicable){{Football League Championship teamlist}}{{English football league system cells | level = 2 | promotion = [[FA Premier League]] | relegation = [[Football League One]]}}{{Football in England table cells}}{{fb end}}
Below is Hull City's as an example:
So all Championship club football templates are in a standardised format now. I don't mean this to be the final word by any means; if anybody wants to expand a new navbox, please feel free. Doonhamer 02:28, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tony Pulis
Can someone take a look at the recent additions to this article. They are a lot more toned down than they were, but I'm still not sure they are NPOV. I've been sworn at for my efforts so will leave it alone. Regan123 (talk) 08:40, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- I've reverted the last couple of edits. Completely POV. Peanut4 (talk) 12:24, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for stepping in. A third party opinion is always good in these cases. Regan123 19:19, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] FA cup seasons
Hello everyone! I'm new to the taskforce, but have been working on creating FA cup season pages. Do we have any guidelines for style? Also, I have noticed that the template shows pages linked to other wiki pages, but also to the FA cup website. Should we standardize this? Trjumpet (talk) 16:27, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
- Just noticed (and reverted) the template, messy messy messy! Linking a load of red link years to one page on the FA site, not recommended. can't help you for Season guidelines sorry, I'm sure there's some club ones, don't know about competitions though. Paulbrock (talk) 03:14, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Our own ratings?
I was wondering if task forces such as ours should have a separate importance rating for each article? At the moment the importance rating is given for "football" in general, and cascaded down to the task forces, sometimes in a way that is misleading IMO. For instance Thierry Henry appears in Category:High-importance football in Italy articles: from this category it would appear that he has therefore made a great contribution to Italian football, but in fact he only played a few games for Juventus. He appears in this category because he is important to football in general, and task forces don't have a separate rating system. Would it be possible/desirable to get our own importance ratings? --Jameboy (talk) 23:56, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
