Welcome to the Rapid transit WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of rtransit. If you would like to help, add your name to the list of participants below.

(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).

Scope

This project relates to rapid mass transit and will cover public and private urban passenger transportation systems in given metropolitan areas that use elevated trains, subways (underground trains), or a combination of both. This project does not include buses or other mass transit that is not considered rapid when compared to trains and subways. For buses, see WikiProject Buses.

Goals

This project is an attempt to better organize and improve the quality of the information on Wikipedia related to rail transportation such as subways, light rail, trams and anything else that may fall under the category "rapid transit".
