Wikipedia:WikiProject Fashion/Participants

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Antique Rose I'm interested in improving and correcting the fashion articles. My interest is mainly focused on women's clothing.
AntiVanity I am a developer of entries relating to plus-size modeling on the Wiki (both as current ID and formerly as BGModel). I've been in this side of the industry for over 10 years so have a good handle on major players and models in this area of fashion. I have lived and worked internationally so I don't have a particular US bias myself, but I do think it overwhelms the current entries.
A. Shakespeare I'm interested in uploading images and all types of clothing.
C777 I'm interested in improving the fashion coverage. My focus will be the biographies of designers and models.
Calliopejen1 Interested in improving the (often quite terrible!) fashion coverage on Wikipedia. Figured I would start this up to try to coordinate others' efforts. If anyone can help with this WikiProject, it would be much appreciated! (BTW I lost my password so now am Calliopejen1.)
Daniel Case It's about time ... not only for this project but for the first male user on this list. I am sort of accidentally here, as a result of developing The Devil Wears Prada, and subsequently Anna Wintour, which I hope to make the first FA and GA in this project soon. Our fashion coverage has been horrible ... I think Wintour has the only decent biography of any fashion person; I've had to create or upgrade quite a few articles, and that's what I see myself doing mainly — biographies. We should also give some attention to Vogue.
Esmerelda Querida I'm very new to Wikipedia, but I love fashion in general. I'm happy to try and help out where i can
I-love-la I have studied fashion history, love fashion and was disappointed that Lover didn't have a thorough page here.
Jauncourt I'm a lifelong seamstress, professional illustrator and amateur costume researcher. My interests cover everything from the Bronze Age to about 1950, and everything from high fashion to working dress. Specific areas of interest are the middle ages (1000-1500 AD) and the periods between 1700-1900 AD. I'm willing to provide new, copyright released, illustrations for articles.
Johnbod Really only historical stuff, and nearly all medieval (yes they had fashion too!). Also textiles a bit, especially early printed ones.
krishansood1991 Interested in the more modern side of fashion in particular John Galliano and Alexander McQueen and Haute Couture.
Kullanari I don't really have any formal qualifications, but I'm quite interested in fashion, particularly mens fashion, and would like to help especially with organisation/editing.
La Vie Entiere Im a long-time reader of Fashion Week Daily, IHT:Style and WWD, my focus is on the people and fashion movements.
Librarylefty I have an interest in modern fashion, especially from the 1990s. However, I have little to no interest in Haute Couture.
MissTay09 I love fashion and I am planning on majoring in it. My intrests are 1970's and 1980's fashion.
number1spygirl I'm an Alessandra Ambrosio fan. I started improving her page and noticed that other model bios (Victoria's Secret angels) need improvement. I treated improving pages like it was homework!!! lol.
PKM I've done a lot of work on the History of Western fashion series. I am interested in the history of clothes, particulary 16th-17th centuries and Victorian, as well as embroidery and other needle arts. Count me in!
Sara.g.goldstein I'm a mild fashion obsessive, and thrilled to see that Wikipedia might finally get better fashion coverage! I'm generally interested in making the web a friendlier place for those of us who aren't geeky males. I'm also fascinated by phenomena where fashion and technology intersect, like fashion blogging. Count me in too! ;) PS: I'm in Sydney, Australia so I could also be helpful in sorting out the pages about Australian fashion designers.
theorb The fashion coverage is horrible. Let's try to make some improvements.
thiste Pretty much the same as Sara, I've been wanting to improve the fashion part of wikipedia for a long time. I think I could help in most of the areas fashion covers but I'm gonna focus on improving the models (and maybe designers) articles for starters. By the way, I'm french!
Willow I'm interested in designing and making clothing, especially knitted items. Thanks for starting this, Jen! :) I'll try to help as I can.
Priya Patel I would love to add more about the socially conscious areas of fashion
Newuser Tell us a bit about yourself!.
John Biancato I'm interested in articles about Paris Hilton's fragrances.
munificentdesign I agree with the others on this list who think the coverage of fashion-related topics of wikipedia could use improvement. It seems to me that one challenge with this topic is the getting enough free images to adequately represent the essence of the topic. I'm a new contributor and I'd love to hear some advice from someone who has a lot experience with images on wikipedia. I recently attempted to create a new urban fashion which has been challenged for deletion along with some of the article I started due to spam and notability objections. It seems to me that a second challenge is representing brand names and other commercial in an acceptable way. I'd be interesting to hear thoughts on this as well.
Geape I studied Art History, and work giving lessons about fashion history in the main fashion school in Mexico City. I have been made contributions for quite a time to many fashion stubs, but I just discover this portal. I am interested in all the academic aspects of the fashion phenomenon. I speak English, french and spanish, so maybe I can be of help in certain traslation enterprises.
Princess Janay I love fashion, and I would like to write about types of fashion through the ages. I don't create articles quickly, but I'm willing to contribute in any way I can.
Krushdiva I too love fashion and excited to contribute and improve fashion articles
DivineDeeds I'm interested in creating, expanding, and improving the citation of newer fashion designers and fashion labels.
Cantarevolare I'm a models fan, I really like these women. Among oldest and former supermodels I prefer Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford and Linda Evangelista. Among current famous models I like Gisele Bündchen (mainly), Natalia Vodianova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Yasmin Brunet, Brenda Costa, Ana Beatriz Barros and Jessica Stam.

I'd like to make expansions and improviments on models articles.
