Hello~ My special interests within the realm of fashion are trend watching, studying garment construction and details, and designing and writing in my journal. I typically "absorb" every new women's magazine that hits the newsstand, I love clicking around on the internet looking for fashion show clips and checking out fashion websites, and I ooh-la-la love browsing through boutiques, antique stores, and nice second hand stores for special pieces. I am the American woman with bangles and painted toenails sitting on the floor at bookstores late Saturday nights, with my Russian husband, flipping through art books, or nabbing DVDs like Project Runway: Season Two and a bag of popcorn for a cozy night under the duvet. Yes, I use to model professionally in NYC, Europe, and Asia, but I was really too short for the business. I only made it through the agency doors because I had an art background and keen instincts. French Vogue's art department offered me a position as a summer student intern, but Guy Bourdin scared me away.
