[edit] Plot
Chantal, owner of Icicle Creek Lodge, has called Nancy Drew in to investigate a series of accidents, such as explosions and guests mysteriously falling down ice-covered stairs. At the scene of each crime, a white wolf appears -- this wolf has also been described by Chantal as terrifying the guests by keeping them up during the night. The player plays as Nancy Drew, trying to solve the mystery.
[edit] Characters
Ollie Randall -- A gruff former cowboy turned handyman, Ollie shows a dislike of the wolf.
Yanni Volkstaia -- Overly-paranoid, Yanni is an Olympic cross-country skiier who believes that his competitors are constantly spying on him. His belief is that the wolf has been sent by his competitors to distract him.
Guadalupe Comillo -- Talkative Guadalupe is a bird-watcher and wolf expert.
Bill Kessler -- An avid ice-fisherman, Bill's opinion is that the wolf is in the way of his fishing, and strongly dislikes it.
Lou Talbot -- A recent graduate of University of California-Brea, mature and sophisticated Lou is an artist, and believes that the wolf is not responsible for the incidents.
Tino Balducci -- An old acquaintance of Nancy's, Tino was a main character in Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, and can now be called for hints.
Chantal -- The owner of the lodge who asks Nancy to solve the case.
Ned Nickerson -- Nancy's boyfriend that she can call for hints.
Freddie Randall aka Snow Princess -- Ollie's young daughter, Freddie, built herself a snow fort and stays in it all day. She's always up for a snowball fight.

[edit] Trivia
- Further down the line, Guadalupe Comillo insists that you call her 'Lupe', meaning wolf.
- This game continues the easter egg tradition started several games earlier, albeit a tad more complicated than the others. In this case, a player must continually use the washroom in the lodge, until Nancy sings a little song (apparently while washing her hands) - "Call 1-555-MYSTICO and prepare to be amazed!" Dialing this secret number puts Nancy in contact with "Mystico the Magnificent", a magician. Humorous conversations can be made with him. If Nancy asks for "a reason for living", the magician will angrily shout, citing all of the people who have called for Nancy's help in each game ("What am I?...a family friend? A concerned investor?"). Asking about "danger" will have Mystico cite all of the culprits from each game. Finally, Nancy can ask for a wonderful treasure, which sends her back to the ice fishing pond. She can then claim the egg; if she uses it to dial, Mystico will hypnotize her over the phone. You can now open the locked door called Chinook across from Nancy's room and if you set her alarm to any time, she will have a weird/scary dream in which Nancy comments later that her "subconscious need to get a life".
- When shoveling the pond on senior detective, the puzzle with twenty-nine cones spells out "CRY" aka Legend of the Crystal Skull the next game.
- The first time you call Mystico the magician, he will say that in Nancy's future he sees a "dark figure named... Bruno." This may be a reference to Bruno Bolet, in Legend of the Crystal Skull.
