Cuckoo Farm is the project name for a 35-acre site in Colchester, Essex that is to be the home of a new stadium called The Colchester Community Stadium, and the home ground of Colchester United F.C.. Building work began in July 2007 and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2008-2009 season.[1] The stadium will have a capacity of approximately 10,000 (though this could potentially increase to 28,000) and will cost £14 million, largely paid for by a £10 million loan from Colchester Borough Council, as well as grants from the Football Foundation, the Communities and Local Government and the East of England Development Agency.[2]

The site will contain over 600 parking spaces, 5 mini football pitches for use by the CUCST. The complex will ultimately encompass a wide variety of sports, leisure and business facilities, including tennis courts, a hotel and restaurants.

On the 12th June 2008, Colchester United revealed a ten year sponsorship deal with Weston Homes [3] [4] worth near to £2 million to sponsor the new stadium. The deal also saw Weston Homes sponsor Colchester United's shirts for the 08/09 season
