Re: WP:BRUINS

Sure, I would like some help if you could. STORMTRACKER 94 Go Sox! 23:27, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

hi, regarding the melanotan article I feel the qualifier "anecdotal" evidance is sufficient given that the drug is currently in the clinical trial period? i also feel morally obliged to make some reference to the possible eye issues this drug causes. have you a suggestion for referring article readers to this?

thanks

Re: stats formatting

However I have actually had a discussion at the talk page for player pages' structure and User:Djsasso said it looked good to him. He said to keep the colored bars in a pattern so it isn't as confusing to read. A while back I was actually going to keep the colors out of order but I noticed some reverts and during the discussion we somehw touched opon that. I've indented so it lets the reader know what year his stats, for each league, are in so the reader doesn't need to find out what next year the stats are in. Instead, they'll know that the indents are in the same year as the first. In my opinion the grey + white rows in bunches don't really look neater though.--Hasek is the best (talk) 18:09, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

skip

Did you try anything? Looks like we haven’t gone anywhere with that at all. Isenhand (talk) 08:04, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I thought the NET article was the main issue. I'll take a look at the other article when I have some time (this won't be until at the earliest after tomorrow).-Wafulz (talk) 12:17, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
It’s his behaviour that’s the issue. On the NET article he keeps removing the formation of NET on the tech.ca site in 2005 and replacing it with 2006, which is an error that he knows about. I suspect that that is done to remove any mention of tech.ca due to what appears to me to be a personal problem with kolzene. There also appears that he has a personal problem with Jacque Fresco so he keeps removing that link. But both of these are just continuing example of editing based on POV and having no regard for anything that doesn’t support his POV. Isenhand (talk) 11:34, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

I take it nothing more can be done about skip? Looks like all the other editors have given up with trying to maintain the page :( Isenhand (talk) 16:56, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Chris Levesque

Nice unearthing of that neat tidbit of NHL history. I had never heard the story of Chris Levesque. However, I have removed him from Category:Vancouver Canucks players and List of one-gamers in the National Hockey League, as (under the guidelines of the category and the list) he does not qualify for either. Plenty of goaltenders have suited up for just one game or a few games and never officially appeared. According to the Buffalo Sabres' (my favourite team's, which I why I have their info handy) media guide, there have been nine in that team's history alone. Those players should not be cluttering the relevant team categories and player lists. Skudrafan1 (talk) 18:48, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Ice Hockey March 2008 Newsletter

WikiProject Ice Hockey Newsletter

Dear Wafulz/Archive 16! You are receiving as you are a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey There's been many more new things going on at WP:HOCKEY, and I think this will help you to stay informed. Since the last newsletter sent out in October, there have been many new changes. I'm hoping to make this newsletter a bit more regular; Kaiser matias and Skudrafan1 asked for a new issue a week ago, but sadly, I've been a bit lazy and committed to other things hence this other delay. --Maxim(talk)

New recognized content

Wayne Gretzky; this picture is featured

By Maxim
There has been numerous new recognized content, so much that it's too time-consuming to sift through the "trophy cases" on WP:HOCKEY. Some interesting achievements:

Task forces

By Maxim

There was a new taskforce created within the WikiProject to deal with topics related to the Boston Bruins. It was originally founded as a separate WikiProject, but was quickly turned into a taskforce within WikiProject Ice Hockey. The list of participants is located here. Located at WP:BRUINS, the taskforce's goals are to make Boston Bruins and Bobby Orr featured articles. Good luck!

New Administrators

By Maxim
Since October, there have been three new admins promoted within the project:

A previously admin-only feature has been made available for all users. The rollback feature allows a user to quickly revert vandalism with one click. If you wish to have rollback, contact an active admin or post a request to WP:RFR.

Featured Topic Drive

By Maxim

The original featured topic drive, initiated by Scorpion0422, has concluded succesfully. National Hockey League awards is now a featured topic, with 24 articles in total. Of them, 20 are featured lists, one is a featured article, and the other three are trophy articles that were too short to become featured lists. Eight users signed up to help out, shown here. The next Featured Topic hasn't been decided upon, and the ideas and organization for it fell apart. If you have any ideas, don't hesitate to share them at WT:HOCKEY.

Notes

  • More editors are needed to help out with the newsletter. Maxim doesn't have an infinite nor perfect supply of ideas, and thus he might omit some interesting news.
  • Portal:Ice hockey is being considered for featured status. Feel free to nominate features at Portal:Ice hockey/Suggestions.
  • Should Chris Pronger have been suspended for more than eight games for stomping on Ryan Kesler? Vote here!

DYK for Chris Levesque

Updated DYK query On 17 March 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Chris Levesque, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

A particular favourite of mine in this update! BencherliteTalk 09:41, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

It is pretty obvious that Andrew Wallace has set up an account to revert my edits

On the Network of European Technocrats and Technocracy movement page. He is even using exactly the same language. Reverting bad edits as used by Isenhand. This does not seem fair or right. I believe that this group will just keep setting up dummy accounts such as the past Technocrate account that you blocked. Is it possible for reasons mentioned before to delete this article... Network of European Technocrats ? It is a commercial site .. It is not notable.. It was set up by the NET director Andrew Wallace/Isenhand. They control the content. They are not open to other editors trying to make the article objective. For the same reason the Technocratic movement article should be deleted. That article also from the beginning has been only a ploy to direct people to the Network of European Technocrats article.

Sorry, I've been busy lately. I'll take a look this weekend. Thanks.-Wafulz (talk) 03:10, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Please put my article back up!

You deleted my post a while back because you said I had not included references and that my article looked like it had been cut and pasted from a website. I did cut and paste some of the material BUT I was the original author of that material and I also am currently employed by the program, so there is NO issue with copywriting, etc. I have now added to outside references that proves that we exist, etc. Could you PLEASE repost my article. Here is the link to it:

Edit warring

I notice you've been using admin rollback in a dispute. Please do not do that. It sets a bad example, and you should really know better than to edit war. --Vergency (talk) 22:42, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

I'll stop using it when other users actually give justification for their edits and respond to my numerous messages on the talk pages and in edit summaries. If a user does a drive-by removal I don't see a problem with using rollback.-Wafulz (talk) 22:52, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
