The Vice-Chamberlain of the Household is usually a junior government whip in the British House of Commons and is an officer of the Royal Household of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom. He is the Deputy to the Lord Chamberlain of the Household. As a member of the Royal Household his duties are largely nominal, though he may be required to act as an usher during a Garden Party and may have other tasks to perform. He compiles a daily private report to the Queen on proceedings in the House of Commons.

Notable holders of the office include Sir George Carteret, Lord Hervey, the Earl of Harrington, the Earl Spencer, Michael Stewart and Bernard Weatherill.
