[edit] Whig Party template ambiguous

The election results templates for this page are causing ambiguous links to the Whig Party. The link should be to Whig.

I cannot correct the links as 'Template:Whig Party/meta/shortname' then do not pick up the party name correctly. I suggest that a Template 'Template:British Whig Party/meta/shortname' and 'Template:British Whig Party/meta/color' be made to correctly supply the shortname and color and that all the entries saying 'Whig Party' then be changed to 'British Whig Party'.

I do not have much experience with making templates, so I leave it to somebody else to reslove this.

• Thank you for your comment. There is a disambig problem between the British and American Whig Parties (as well as the Liberian one).

I will set up the Templates for British Whig Party which will hopefully solve the problem. --Gary J 12:21, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
