[edit] The NHL stats list
I wunder if we could get that article 'semi-protected' until the end of the season. Those anon's are going to continously (though innocently) try to update the page. GoodDay 19:28, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- That's a good idea, adding the warning at the head of each sub-section. GoodDay 14:21, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Šťastný
Hi.
At first I thought Bohuslav was a older brother of the other Šťastný but a slovak personn Kelovy said me that Bohuslav wasn't link with Peter, Anton and Marian. So we begun to talk on his french page (here) and I told me that the slovak Stastny were linked to a Bohumil. I think if you have question on it you can talk to Kelovy, it'll be easier. --TaraO 19:05, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Joya (Will Oldham album).JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Joya (Will Oldham album).JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 02:20, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for the templates on Possession (2008) etc . I was still figuring out exactly what to do .Garda40 17:40, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Avalanche records
I was just using the records listed in the NHL Record Book, and would have to respectivley disagree. Quebec and Colorado are the same team, and have the same records. And a final point, Sakic has generally every scoring record for the Nordiques/Avalanche, including goals, assists, points, etc. So Peter would not take the top spot; he's got about 100 less goals, 200 assists, and 300 points less than Sakic in their NHL careers. Good debate about whether to include Quebec's records with the Avs though. Tough call I must say. Kaiser matias 07:21, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Marie Šťastná
Yeah, you're probably right. I removed it from the article. I really should get more sleep, so I can avoid such stupid mistakes in the future. Puchiko (Talk-email) 12:40, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
- I translated the rest of article, could you take a look and proofread it please? Merry Christmas! Puchiko (Talk-email) 19:20, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of List of punk bands
An editor has nominated List of punk bands, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of punk bands and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 16:31, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Stuart Adamson
Does Wiki convention necessitate enboldening person's full names? I thought the name of the article should normally be the part that is in bold type. I am not sure; what about Wikipedia:Manual of Style? This styling issue (one way or the other) arises often in my editing travels. Thanks,

[edit] {{Echinoderm-stub}}
Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 12:26, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sorcerer's Place links
Hello. Since you expressed an opinion on linking to this site, the discussion at Talk:Baldur's Gate#Sorcerer's Place link may be of interest. Thanks and regards. --Muchness (talk) 05:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ice Hockey
Hello, Twas Now. IMHO? You've as much a chance of getting Elrith to 'give up' diacritics? as you do of getting me to 'accept' diacritics. Elrith is an extremist pro-dio in these matters & I'm an extremist anti-dio. He & I both have our heels dug in on this issue. GoodDay (talk) 16:56, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
- If you wish to update records? you're free to do so (of course). As Elrith pointed out to me (in the above topic), Wikipedia: WikiProject Ice Hockey doesn't control Hockey articles. I'm no longer a member of that WikiProject, so if you decide to update? I won't revert. GoodDay (talk) 22:00, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bob Dylan performing Two Sisters
You asked for a citation that Dylan performed this song on The Twa Sisters page. You can find this on the The Genuine bootleg Series volume 2 (track 1). There are plenty of sources for this, for example Shopcart.com. I'm not sure how you can place a citation for this sort of thing - perhaps you would be so good as to do this for me. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Laetoli (talk • contribs) 19:31, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, then - here is another source (answers.com): The Genuine Bootleg Series, Take 2. Alternatively, you can go to the first link that I gave you and actually listen to a very poor quality stream of the song by clicking the CD symbol next to the track. If you're still not satisfied, you might try a Google search on this: "The Two Sisters dylan bootleg" - that gave me "about 15,700" results according to their bot. Otherwise, just delete what I said on the Wiki article - it's just not important enough to fight about any more. Laetoli (talk) 22:22, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 1753 in music
Hi, Twas Now! Thanks for your recent edits to 1753 in music. I just wanted to encourage you to: yes, do please link to works, if an article on the work exists on Wikipedia. I myself follow the standard that you noticed, of not linking to the work if the result will be a redlink, but I have also occasionally seen some editors keep links to works that result in redlinks as well. I would have gone ahead and restored your earlier edit with the link to Der Krumme Teufel, but I thought you might appreciate the pleasure of doing that yourself :) Cheers, Lini (talk) 12:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mild and Hazy (Hayden album).jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Mild and Hazy (Hayden album).jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] The Selfish Gene
Thanks, that's much clearer. I guessed this was what it was getting at, but was worried that maybe I was missing some subtle biological meaning. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 22:38, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Yes, I know Auden wrote libretti . . .
Hello. The reason I removed the opera project banner was because (1) we are trying to avoid aggressive bannering which many people don't like, and (2) participants in the opera project (like myself) are unlikely to contribute significantly to his article. Thank you. --Kleinzach 08:37, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
