TVE1 referred to as La Uno (The One) (and until September 30, 2007 as La Primera (The First)) in Spain is a television channel operated by Spanish national broadcaster TVE. Its offering is varied, including a mix of news, documentaries, entertainment and discussion-based programmes. Also, the government of Spain has two public television stations TVE1, and TVE2 this last called "La 2 / The Two" or "La Segunda / The Second".
Advertising provides TVE with revenue to run the channel.
