[edit] Mts. to the east

The mountains directly to the east of Tularosa are the Sacramento Mountains as opposed to the Sierra Blancas. The major distinguishing feature between the two ranges, which run together, is that the Sierra Blanca are igneous, while the Sacramentos are sedimentary, mostly limestone.
