[edit] Commencment of Construction

I have no idea where the 1971 date came from? This can not be correct since:-

  • Tony Benn inaurgiated the construction as Energy Minister in 1978.
  • As the article states SSEB were undertaking exhibitions, etc. as a prelude to getting permission for construction in the mid 1970's.

The IAEA PRIS database has the definitive answer, "Construction Started: 1980/08/01" for both units: [1] [2] Rwendland 17:41, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
