"The Siren" was the fourth single of the album Once by Finnish symphonic power metal quintet Nightwish. The song was played with the London Session Orchestra and includes many exotic instruments, e.g. an electric violin and a sitar. In addition, Tarja Turunen used a different type of vocals than ever before on this song.
"Symphony of Destruction", a live cover included on the single, was originally performed by Megadeth on their album Countdown to Extinction.
