[edit] Summary
Flapjack is a young boy raised in a talking whale named Bubbie. Flapjack leads a peaceful life until the duo rescue a pirate by the name of Captain K'nuckles, who tells Flapjack of Candied Island. Inspired by the adventurous pirate, Flapjack, Captain K'Nuckles, and Bubbie get into strange predicaments and "misadventures" in search of Candied Island and the coveted title of "Adventurer." The three spend most of their time in Stormalong Harbor, where they earn money, eat candy, and get into adventures.
[edit] Characters
[edit] Flapjack
Flapjack is an excitable, adventure-loving boy who was raised by Bubbie, a talking whale. Despite her warnings, Flapjack is spellbound by K'nuckles' stories and has set his sights on becoming a real adventurer. He seems to admire K'nuckles very much and considers him a good friend, even though K'nuckles tends to decieve him at some point or another. Voiced by Mark "Thurop" Van Orman.
[edit] Captain K'nuckles
Captain K'nuckles is a washed-up, old sailor who claims to be the greatest pirate the world has ever known. He is always telling outrageous tales of his adventures and getting Flapjack wrapped up in his high seas hijinks. Voiced by Brian Doyle-Murray.
[edit] Bubbie
Bubbie is like an over-protective mother to Flapjack. She prefers the safety of Stormalong to the dangers of the open seas, but Bubbie is always there for Flapjack, no matter what kind of trouble K'nuckles gets him into. Voiced by Roz Ryan.
[edit] Peppermint Larry
Peppermint Larry is the overly-friendly owner of the Candy Barrel. He is the only person who can satisfy our heroes' candy cravings. When they don't have money for candy, Larry feeds them unreliable clues to Candied Island. He also has a candy wife made out of candy who is generally the source of his frequent bouts of paranoia and psychosis. Voiced by Jeff Bennett.
