[edit] Reversion

I'm reverting a few of he changes made by User:81.132.94.50

First Im returning the qualifier at the top of the article to This article concerns the various series which have been titled The Spectacular Spider-Man, including Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man (1976). For the later, 1990s Peter Parker series see Peter Parker: Spider-Man.

I know its long but I think its more appropriate then the For the later 90's series by Todd McFarlane see Peter Parker: Spider-Man. bit that he added.

Its extremely unlikely that someone is gonna enter in Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man (which is a redirect here and why the qualifier is there) looking to find McFarlane's series as it was titled just Spider-Man under him. The reason I put it there is because the 1990s title was later called Peter Parker: Spider-Man and I thought that someone might get confused over their Peter Parker titles and enter the longer title by mistake.

Also Im returning the wikilink to Samm Barnes. I dont know why she was delinked - though its red now shes notable enough that someone will create an article eventually. I could understand someone changing it to Sarah Barnes (shes been credited as both) but keep it wikified! Hueysheridan 21:54, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Changes

I've edited and cut down a long, highly opinionated essay on Spectacular Spider-Man V.1. It was filled with POV, uncited claims, original research, and such pure opinions as "Bill Sienkiewicz's inks over Sal Buscema’s pencilling was a somewhat unpalatable combination." Aside form the fact many people thought it was some of S. Buscema's best work, it's complete opinion, and the editor who wrote this essay should please read Wikipedia's policies and guidelines at WP:POV. WP:OR, etc. -- Tenebrae 13:23, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Intro

An intro ought to be included, IMO, that talks about how this title was differentiated with the main Amazing Spider-Man title, if at all. RobertM525 09:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Added one, to explain basically why there's more than one Spidey title. -HKMarks 17:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

I have proposed merging Countdown (Spectacular Spider-Man) into this article. I know that it has been tagged for having several problems, but I figure that merging the article to here would be preferable to deleting it outright. --GentlemanGhost 18:30, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
