[edit] On Stranger Tides

Having just begun reading Tim Powers' On Stranger Tides, I've noticed several plot elements that also featured in book 1 of this comic, namely the two-headed dog being used as a guide, and the principal female character's father being a bocor. Is there anyone else familiar with both of these, and do the similarities continue? RobC 17:18, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

I keep meaning to read Anubis Gates and so haven't got around to this. Might be worth dropping the link into the "see also" section as at the very least if you enjoyed Book 1 you'd probably be interested in something with a similar theme (without venturing into the area of original research ;) ).
