[edit] Merged/Non confirmed content
I stumbled across the fact that there were two articles on the same band; the other article was Mascara story. I believe this article has the correct name per WP naming conventions, so I merged the non-duplicative contents of that article into this one and made that article a redirect. I have also added an unreferenced template to this article as no sources are cited.--Kubigula (talk) 19:23, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- I feel that the former band member, Jay Dickson, should not have been merged to this page. One of the other band members, Daveit Ferris, has his own page. Jay should be considered more notable than Daveit, because he is in fact sponsored by Mapex Drums. Ryannus 20:34, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Jay has also been accused for some of the break up in this band according to the creator of this article, if you do your research on the guitarists past bands you will see that all of the bands which he has fronted have broken up, had a number of member changes, with none the bands giving any sign of reforming what so ever. So I don’t think you could possibly boil this down solely to an argument with the drummer. And as it was stated, is only a rumour.
The word ‘’sponsor’’ has been used for Daveit on Washburn and Jay on Mapex, the term ‘’Sponsor’’ would imply that both Daveit and Jay are being paid to play these products, the correct term would of course be ENDORSEMENT, meaning they wilfully endorse the product with out the incentive of being paid, as Washburn DO NOT have a ’’Pay to play’’ policy with their artists, nor does Mapex. Daveit’s list of what the author has called ’’Sponsors’’ would also need to be verified, as Randall Amplifiers, Vinci Strings and City of the sun clothing have no information stated on their website about any sort of connecting Endorsement to Daveit, while Wide Ride Straps just lists the band ‘’Rescue The Astronauts’’ as ‘’Players’’ of their straps, and has been stated by the Author that Daveit has left Rescue The Astronauts, but according to the official myspace is still currently the only member. There is too much in this article that needs to be confirmed and the author has provided no evidence for any of my points raised.
Daveit Ferris is not the singers real name.Brianbegley (talk) 14:00, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
