Talk:The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page would be more useful with issue references (for example, Part 1 appeared in US 285). I've been able to find references for all except parts 3.5, 8.5, and 10.5.
Also of use here would be references to some of the more significant stories that are associated with the series - for me, that would be any source (such as "Back to the Klondike") where some event of Scrooge's early life figures prominently in the story.
- With issue references you mean American issues where the chapter appeared? If so not all chapters have appeared in the US actually. Maybe we could just add an external link to the inducks: [1]. Lazarus Long 21:17, 13 Sep 2003 (UTC)

- We could add a comment like "The number after the synopsis indicate the issue in which the american comic was just published. Note that in several cases, the comics have actually been published earlier in different countries in Europe" or something to that extent...

-
- Of course, each chapter could be linked to its individual INDUCKS listing. Don't know if that's kosher wiki practice or not... Travisseitler 17:29, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

- I think it would be good to include some publication dates, too. -- Beardo 03:58, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Link to all the comics
There was a link to a site that hosted scans of all the comics. While I personally really liked the site (trip down memory lane and all that), is it one giant breach of copyright. So I removed the link, as per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#Occasionally_acceptable_links , point number 5. -- Mystman666 (Talk) 18:14, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Popularity in various countries.
I don't see how it's very relevant that the story was popular in Norway/Scandinavia, unless it was very popular in Scandinavia, but not in the rest of Europe (and some numbers can be found that support that assertion). I'll remove the "popularity" comments tomorrow if no one objects (going on vacation the day after that)-- Mystman666 (Talk) 18:20, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
In Germany, the story "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck" is a very popular Scrooge-McDuck-Comic. In Germany known as "Dagobert Duck - Sein Leben, seine Milliarden" (in English "Scrooge McDuck - His life, his billions"), the story was published first in the "Micky Maus Magazin" (like "Walt Disney's Comics and Stories" (?)). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.15.206.171 (talk) 14:09, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
