Talk:The Canadian (newspaper)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dear Wikipedia administrators,
The Canadian National Newspaper is a not-for-profit organization, that has established itself a relatively high readership as verified by Alexa rankings. Other for-profit newspapers have detailed listings on Wikipedia including the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail. The listing represents an objective description of The Canadian National Newspaper, that is associated with an officially registered not-for-profit organization, and in no way presented any information that was intended to present "spam".
The listing should be kept in relation to Wikipedia's mandate to provide accessibility to information, and not just to limit the description of media organizations to large commercial corporate enterprises like the Toronto Star and the Globe and Mail.
The listing for The Canadian National Newspaper is no more "spam" than corresponding listings for commercial media organizations, that have a specific mandate to make commercial profit for shareholders.
Thanks for your consideration.

- I'm not an administrator, but please find references to show that the Newspaper isn't just a flash-in-the-pan. Phlegm Rooster (talk) 21:59, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
The 'online' edition of the newspapers contains over 1,000 pages, presents a high quality layout, and has thousands of link backs to its published articles from various websites, and features the writings of learned authors including Dr. David Ray Griffin.
That can be independently verified using Yahoo, Google, and other search engines.
Furthermore, the publisher of the newspaper, Agora, is a not-for-profit corporation established in the mid-1990's.
It is apparent that the newspaper is not a so-called "flash-in-the-pan.", and that making such a claim, would be prejudicial.
The description of the newspaper is consistent with its Google and other listings, and to exclude such a newspaper, while Wikipedia includes very detailed descriptions of commercial for-profit newspapers, would not be consistent with Wikipedia's stated object of inclusion.
Wikpedia reference to the Toronto Star as a "liberal" newspaper, for example, could be regarded to be biased, because the Toronto Star has endorsed the Harper government's corporate agenda in many areas.
