The Thailand Open is tennis tournament held in the city of Bangkok, in the country of Thailand. The last three editions of the Thailand Open were held in the third week of September. Held since 2003, both men's singles and doubles are held at the tournament. Since 2005 there is also a tournament for female tennis players: the PTT Bangkok Open.
Roger Federer is the only man to have won the Men's Singles competition more than once; and has also made an appearance in the doubles final with Yves Allegro. The Ram/Elrich team are the only doubles pair to have won the competition more than once.
In 2007, Sonchat Ratiwatana and Sanchai Ratiwatana became the first Thai winners, triumphing over Wimbledon doubles champion Michaël Llodra and Nicolas Mahut, the number 3 seeds.
