Survivor Philippines is the upcoming Philippine version of the reality television series Survivor.[1] Veteran TV host Paolo Bediones has been chosen to host the show.[2] At the first audition in Davao, Bediones revealed that the prize money will be the largest in the history of reality shows in the Philippines: in addition to the title of Sole Survivor, the contestant who lasts the longest will also win 3,000,000 pesos (US$70,000).[3]

Auditions were held in six Philippines cities in May 2008.[4] From these interviews, approximately 16 contestants will be selected to participate on the show in June 2008,[5] which will be set in a location outside the Philippines.[6]
