The Dark Lord Trombonator is a seventeen-year-old Wikipedian living in
Dunedin,
New Zealand. He signed up to the Wikipedia Project in
October 2006, originally under the belief that he could write anything about anyone here, including himself. To date, the article bearing the title of his
real world identity has been deleted twice. It is important to note, however, that the second deletion was within three minutes of the first, and were probably only accidental.
[citation needed] To this day, he has not partaken in any other acts of vandalism
[1]. On Wikipedia, he usually edits in areas he has an interest in, including
Harry Potter and
Survivor, but also extending to local articles through
Wikiproject: New Zealand. Despite this, his edits in these areas are few and far between: an unfortunate
side-effect of living chronologically 12 hours ahead of
GMT, but several weeks behind the major television series in
America. Recently, though, he has turned his interests to greeting
new Wikipedians and patrolling new pages. The only real person he knows that has edited Wikipedia is
Beligaronia, who distracts him from doing any work in
Physics. Any other "real" friends the Trombonator has mock his interest in
making the internet not suck, though he insists "Wikipedia is only a hobby."
[citation needed] In the real world, he enjoys long walks on the beach, watching television, playing
noughts and crosses for hours on end (against himself, winning both ways) and procrastinating studying towards his
NCEA. Upon leaving school he plans to replace
Jimmy Wales as the coolest person on the internet, or, failing that, study law at
Otago University.
