Talk:Suicide Squad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Regarding the Sgt. Rock incarnation of the Suicide Squad (aka Suicide Squad volume 2 as written by Keith Giffen).
A number of JSA members are listed as being Squad members. They are not. They merely guest-starred.

[edit] Membership
So I'm calling all Squad-fans out there, especially those who read the volume starring the team as formed by Sgt. Rock. This membership list really requires a bit of cleaning up, so get to it guys! Kusonaga 13:38, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] It's Rick Flag
Regarding the recent reversions, Rick Flag, Jr. spells his name with one "g." Reuben Flagg spells his name with two, which may be the source of the confusion.TheronJ 16:07, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- It's Rick Flag Kusanaga, already logged in and fixed, moved Rick Flagg to Rick Flag. -- Basique 16:15, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just checked my Suicide Squad issues. You're right. I'm quite dumbfounded actually. Kusonaga 17:04, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clean Up
Look at him go! -- Jeffrywith1e 13:31, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- This old place has never looked so good, excellent job! --Basique 15:20, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks, there's still a lot to be done though. Kusonaga 16:24, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Suggestion
According to the Rick Flag page, Rick Flag Sr was a member of a "Suicide Squadron" and "Task Force X" before the beginning of the Rick Flag Jr./Karen Grace incarnation.
- Does anyone know enough about that version to write something up? Was it actually published or just a retcon?
- In general, it might be helpful for the page to clarify when it's referring to Rick Flag Jr. or Rick Flag Sr.
P.s. The cleanup looks great! TheronJ 15:47, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's a retcon. I might write something up about that when the rest of the page is finished. And thanks for the compliment. Kusonaga 16:21, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fictional?
Love the cleanup effort so far. My question is more of an asthetic thing..that is, is it necessary to dub things as "Fictional history" or "Fictionaly biography"? It seems like you could drop the fictional, the same message would be implied and it would look better (and have less chance of confusing anyone) Darquis 19:44, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- I agreed and took the 'fictionals' out. -- Jeffrywith1e 22:33, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- I actually think it looks better with "fictional" in it, and I certainly don't see how it could confuse anyone. We are talking about fiction here after all. Kusonaga 06:27, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Russian Task Force X
Don't forget the Red Shadows, just like with Checkmate the Russians also copied Task Force X. --Basique 16:49, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Missing Members
In the one mission section under Task Force X, didn't want to add them myself so i'll put them here. "Pathfinder, with a corrosive touch; Kaliber, who fired bolts of his kirilian aura (from a special gun); Metamorpheus, who could take the shape of anyone he touched (and possibly saw) as well as turn his arms into blades; and Sidewinder, whose lower torso and legs could become a snake like tail. (Suicide Squad #64-66)"[1]
And on Jess Bright who became Koschei. "Bright was found by the Chinese who nursed him back to health. He then passed onto the Russians who transformed him into the bionic monster called Koshchei the Deathless. With his expertise in engineering, Bright assisted in the creation of the Rocket Red Brigade and lent a hand to the nation of Qurac in assembling their metahuman team, the Jihad."[2] —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Basique (talk • contribs) .
- I've added the Task Force Xers, and I'll eventually incorporate the info on Jess Bright, although you are free to do so yourself, if you avoid copyvio. --Kusonaga 10:37, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- Cool i'll have to dig out the issues. --Basique 11:03, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Punch and Jewelee
The "Punch and Jewelee" article redirects to this page. They are mentioned once in the article. That mention consists of an entry in a list of Task Force X members. Therefore, there is no information on Wikipedia about who Punch and Jewelee are. Shouldn't they have an article (not everyone knows who they are after all). Thank you for your time --24.224.184.234 23:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, they should. They'll get it eventually, or you can make it.--Kusonaga 04:30, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] New Suicide Squad
Wizard recently had an article with a new OYL Suicide Squad. Does anyone have the exact details of this? Scarletspeed7 20:20, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- There's a new Squad set to appear in Checkmate (#9 I believe). Kusonaga 20:31, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- I have the arrticle in front of me, and they're listing Master Jailer, Resurrection Man, Dr. Poison, and Jason Todd as members of the new team, according to Rucka. SHould we put that on the page or wait for the issue to come out? Scarletspeed7 16:08, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's not according to Rucka. That's the Suicide Squad Wizard would like to see. Considering also that we've seen Mirror Master and Bronze Tiger on the covers, I assume they're included, unlike in the Wizard article. Kusonaga 16:34, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Oh, forget it then. I must've misread. It looked like a good team lineup too...Scarletspeed7 13:12, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
The lineup is "Mirror Master, Plastique, Icicle, Punch and Jewlee, Javelin, and the Tattooed Man – the original, not the new one." [3] --DrBat 23:14, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Black Orchid
According to DCUguide.com, Black Orchid appears only in issues 4, 7, 11, 12, 19, and 22. Can anyone confirm she was in the fist issue, as this page states? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Scottandrewhutchins (talk • contribs) 00:40, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Raise the Flag
Is there a reason why this article doesn't cover the current Suicide Squad run (Raise the Flag)? Or am I just missing something? Jeffrywith1e (talk) 17:59, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nope, no reason. Feel free to add it in. Kusonaga (talk) 15:48, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Done (or Doing, rather). I'm still working on the membership roster. Jeffrywith1e (talk) 15:55, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
