[edit] Importance?

What makes Stuarts Draft High School so notable as to warrant a Wikipedia article? I went to SDHS myself from 1995-1999, and I've not seen much of note regarding SDHS before, during, or since my time there. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:58, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Established?

When SDHS was "established" is a little more complicated than when the present building opened. The first building established as Stuarts Draft High School was on Main Street (present-day Draft Avenue), across from Stuarts Draft Elementary School (present-day Stump Elementary). This structure is now the fire department and the Old School House Restaurant. Then classes were moved to the original Wilson Memorial High School (present-day Central Office) in Fishersville. Then in 1970, the present SDHS and WMHS were built.

We need to get some more substantial documentation than just my saying so, obviously, but it's worth discussing. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:27, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

True. As I understand it, the original high school was a two story wooden structure that was torn down in the 60s. Wilson opened in 1963, so it was probably after this. The only remnant is what used to be the agriculture section; this is the white cinder block building now (?) used as the cannery, the west end is used during the annual lawn party. The wooden building on the south side of what is now the restaurant was the Boy Scout hut until the mid-1970s. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 15:58, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
I just grabbed the date from the lead paragraph while converting the html-coded table to the standard infobox school template. (Without something in the "established" field, the "school type" gets split onto two lines and looks poor.) Gimmetrow 13:00, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
