Talk:Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sidenote: Actors for roles like this would be far better chosen from groups of people that look like the character in question. Even if said actors are relatively or even completely unknown. It would prevent this movie from bombing completely like the first one did. The primary problem in selection is the severe lack of conformity to the original Street Fighter series.
Actors have been selected time and time again that look nothing like the Street Fighter characters and this destroys any sort of fluidity or logic in the making of said movie.
Examples:
Balrog: Let's face it, Michael Clarke Duncan just isn't ugly enough for this role. He's way too good looking to play Balrog.
Chun Li: Chun Li is full-blooded Chinese. Kristen Kreuk, while attractive, is very Caucasian in appearance, because she is not full-blooded Chinese. Furthermore, she lacks the prerequisite leg muscles that Chun Li is famous for world over. Chun Li has extraordinarily massive, lightning fast legs. A better choice for her would be a female Chinese body builder that still has voluptuous curves. Admittedly rare, but would certainly fit the part more appropriately.
Vega: Vega is a Spaniard, not a Mexican. Their choosing of Taboo for Vega makes little sense since Taboo looks absolutely nothing like Vega, as Vega was an extremely pretty blonde boy, while Taboo looks like he had his face repeatedly smashed in with a shovel (see Taboo (rapper) for reference). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.221.96.202 (talk) 10:46, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
