Star Circle Quest (SCQ) is a reality-based talent search where at least 10 teen-aged contestants, called as Questors, will undergo talent training and physical enhancement. They will also undergo in different challenges to test their talent skills. Every week, one will be eliminated and the last Questor who will remain will be held as the Grand Questor. Grand Questor will take cash prize and an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN Talent Center, now Star Magic.
SCQ is shown on ABS-CBN Channel 2. It is also shown worldwide via ABS-CBN's The Filipino Channel.
SCQ is based on Talent Center's Star Circle Training Program (SCTP), a regular untelevised talent search headed by Johnny Manahan, popularly known as Mr. M.
The show was launched to rival GMA's very successful reality Talent search "StarStruck". prior to this SCQ was launched weeks after StarStruck ended in February also in the same venue where they successfully mounted their spectacular Final Judgement night, the Araneta Coliseum, but SCQ never matched the success and phenomenon that StarStruck made.
As of January 17, 2008, there are no plans nor announcement were made to continue the said series.
[edit] History
In April 1992, six years after ABS-CBN went back on air, then ABS-CBN President-CEO Freddie Garcia and Director Johnny Manahan, popularly known as Mr. M, formulate the idea of creating a home of new stars exclusively for ABS-CBN. After the brainstorming, ABS-CBN introduced TDMC (Talent Development and Management Center) or Talent Center for short, which ultimate goal is to discover and to train stars. In October that year, ABS-CBN launched “Ang TV” directed by Johnny Manahan, a semi-gag show that showcased the different talents of the stars of Talent Center. “Ang TV” became a big hit and produced many mall shows, live concerts and record albums. It became the foundation for the careers of Claudine Barretto, Jolina Magdangal, Rica Peralejo, Angelu de Leon, Roselle Nava, John Prats, Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Victor Neri, Gio Alvarez,Glenn C. Arandilla, Stefano Mori, and many bright stars.
After 3 years of star discovery and talent training and success of “Ang TV”, later in November 1995, ABS-CBN launched the more mature talent search, Star Circle. Star Circle is a regular talent search wherein a group of young actors and actresses will groom to be the best and brightest stars. After the launch of Star Circle, Star Circle Batch 1 was introduced to the public, led by the late Rico Yan.
[edit] First Season: Star Circle Teen Quest(2004)
In 2004, Talent Center had already produced 11 Star Circle batches which are composed of more than 200 stars. By that year, Talent Center is having its audition for Star Circle Batch 12. But after seeing the huge profits that ‘idols’ could rake in, Star Circle changed course and took its new format. From the untelevised regular talent search, Star Circle became a reality-based talent search named as Star Circle Quest (SCQ) which made it as the "Country’s Premiere and Phenomenal Talent Search".'
Hero Angeles, Sandara Park, Joross Gamboa, Roxanne Guinoo and Melissa Ricks Became the Fab 5.

Finally the Magic Five showcased the numbers they've been rehearsing hard for. First off was Charles in an energetic, street dance number. Next was Paw in a surprisingly sexy Beyonce number followed by DM who blew the crowd away with his novelty number. (Do not ask me what happened when he stripped to his red sequined boxers!) Erich opted for a sweet start and ended up making us tap our feet in time to her bouncy "Beautiful" number. A fitting end was Arron's fantasy, action, ala Yachang number, he kept us screaming for more.
So many stars graced the Ultra that night, the Hunks, Bea Alonzo, Kristine Hermosa, Gary Valenciano and his son Gabriel and the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano were there to lend support to our Magic Five.
Erich Gonzales became the Grand Questor, Arron Villaflor was in the second, Paw Diaz in third, Charles Christianson in fourth, and DM Sevilla in fifth.

- In or Out was also used by the judges if the questor was IN or OUT.
- The Sandara wave while saying "Mahal Ko Kayo", came from SCQ while Sandara was still auditioning, when the judges said she was IN, She cried while waving her hand and said "Mahal Ko Kayo"(This Quotation was most said by Foreign stars when they were visiting Philippines).
- Sandara Park is the record holder of the over 1,000,000+ text votes in the history of the contests in Philippines.
- Michelle Madrigal is the daughter of former actress Karla Kalua and the younger sister of GMA talent Ehra Madrigal. She is also one of the Questors who transferred from ABS-CBN's rival station, GMA Network next to KC and Bebs Hollmann and Hero Angeles. Madrigal is now managed by Annabelle Rama.
- Joseph Bitangcol joined the boy group Boyz.Com with Polo Ravales, Frank Garcia and Gabb Drilon as fellow members. With Polo as exclusive GMA Network talent, the group did guestings on most GMA shows, fuelling speculations that Joseph might transfer to the Kapuso Network.
