Genre – Action
The genre of the film was action because as we all saw in the opening sequence; we can easily recognise that it’s an action film, with the explosions, gun firing and especially the chasing.
Narrative
The genre ant the story are linked because first of all it’s a James Bond film, as most of the people know it, James Bind movies are always packed with action and thrill. Secondly, the story was about an agent trying to stop an evil man from destroying the world and start a war, and the evil man was from an army, stereotypically, people know that once armies in the film there will be gun fires, explosion, etc. which are commonly known for action films.

Summary
Die Another Day was about an agent named James who was trying to take revenge after being betrayed by the Korean colony. The film begun when James Bond was having trading with the colony, with diamonds in exchange of illegal weapons, apparently the leader of the army found out that he was an agent. They fought and in the end Bond was caught, he was tortured for 14 months. After 14 months, Bond was exchanged for the leader of the colony that’s been caught by Bond’s side.
After what happened, James Bond takes revenge; he followed the tracks of the leaders and tries to kill them. In the mission he met Jinx, as the mission continues; Bond discovered that Jinx was also an agent who was trying to kill the Korean leaders. As Bond spies, he ended up in Iceland; He met a guy named Gustav, who was one of the richest men in the world. Gustav was in Iceland to demonstrate his new discovery, a sun made of Diamonds. It is there where James discovered that that Jinx was also an agent who was trying to kill the Korean terrorists, and also that Gustav was actually the Korean terrorist leader that he thought he already killed.
After finding out about Gustav, Bond and Jinx teamed up to destroy the guy. They secretly ridden the plane Gustav was into. Gustav was there to reveal himself to his father and show him how successful he became. But his father didn’t liked the man his son became, so he tried to kill him, but he failed so Gustav stabbed back and killed his father.
Meanwhile, Bond and Jinx are quietly attacks Gustav’s men. Bond then saw Gustav and attacked him, but he was using a electric thing. But suddenly the plane halved and nearly crashing, Gustav was sucked out of the plane and ended up in its engine and exploded. While the plane was falling. Bond and Jinx then leave the plane in a stowed helicopter.

Editing
Because the film was an action, most of the cuts in the editing were “straight Cuts”. The editors used straight cuts to show how fast the happening really is, specially in chasing and gun firings. This will make the audience feel the tension and the thrill of the scenes, Its like riding a roller coaster, everything happens so fast but still you enjoyed it.
