[edit] Why did this article disappear?

This article and its edit history disappeared without a trace, and I cannot find any evidence that it was a Wikipedia admin that deleted it. If I'm wrong, and there is a legitimate reason, then the powers-that-be can give an explanation before deleting the article. But its weird, because I cannot find any AfD discussion on it at all. The article as it stands is based on a cached version of the old article (off Google).
