Shitmat is the performing name of Henry Collins, a breakcore artist from Brighton. His music is largely based around the Amen break, Gabber, Plunderphonics, jungle and drum 'n' bass.
His music, sometimes referred to as "Mashcore", is known for the humorous use of samples atypical of "serious" Drum and bass artists and deliberate use of clichés. "Agricultural Ardcore" from Full English Breakfest Vol.5 is based around the theme tune to the UK radio soap opera The Archers. The KillaBabylonKutz EP is an album playing on clichés within the ragga-jungle scene, in which every single track is based on the same ragga sample. The Lesser Spotted Burberry EP is a tongue-in-cheek play on the UK's Chav subculture and makes references to brands such as Burberry and Argos that are often associated with it. During live performances, Shitmat himself often performs wearing a Burberry Baseball Cap, further reinforcing the parody.
Like other similar Breakcore acts, Shitmat is something of a crossover artist with people who are not normally associated with Drum and Bass and other genres of Dance Music.

[edit] Wrong Music
Wrong Music began life as an improvised noise/breakcore/gabba night at the Freebutt, Brighton. It was founded by Henry Collins (Shitmat), Shige Isihara (DJ Scotch Egg), Matt Lambert (Roger Species), and Ben Hudson (Ebola/ Chezny Hawkes) and over the past few years has hosted a bunch of wonderfully obscure acts. Ranging from ultra high tech spazcore breaks to low-fi noise, from breakcore to midi-karaoke, Wrong Music has seen everything from root vegetable wielding farmers playing ragga jungle to a very special adaptation of the nativity play.
The record label was started by Collins in collaboration with other Brighton based artists in 2005 as an offshoot of the local club night. The label specialises mainly in releases by offbeat ("wrong") electronic artists, often making use of samples. Besides Shitmat himself, the label is currently best known as the home of DJ Scotch Egg.
