As it appears that Auroranorth has left Wikipedia forever, I am offering a set of similar challenges in his memory.

  • I will award a RickK anti-vandalism barnstar for all editors to warn/nudge, etc. 100 different vandals/new users/spammers/blankers, etc. by using the Recent Changes list (Special:Recentchanges). Leave me a message on my talk page when you're done, including the contribs would be very helpful.
  • I will also award a RickK anti-vandalism barnstar for 50 reports to WP:AIV.
  • On top of all of this, I am awarding a RickK anti-vandalism barnstar for every user who combats (warning(s)/ban or blcoks) 20 vandals who then get banned/blocked (block length is any period of time, you don't have to block/ban yourself, just be active in the process through warnings, etc.).

These challenges can be used together, so if you do the first challenge and just happen to make 50 reports to WP:AIV and get 20 vandals blocked, that's 3 barnstars. You must sign up here first. You should be able to count your warnings very easily, assuming that you fill out edit summaries. Then, just look in your contribs and count how many you have done. --Sharkface217 00:57, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Done with 100 Nudges. Hmm...not sure about 50 AIV reports, I've a bit to go on that. I was collecting diffs, but it would take forever. If you filter this by 'User Talk' categories and look for the edit summaries, it shouldn't be too hard. I've gotten to over 100 by now. Shamelessly stolen from Wisdom89's ;) I will award a barnstar to any user who removes incorrect speedy deletion tags from 50 articles; ie. a G1 tag placed on an article that was not patent nonsense or an A7 tag placed on an article that asserted notability.   • Let's see-- I check CSD at least once a day, and I de-speedy at least 3 articles a day, about 1000 since I've been an admin, and a few hundred before that--you do not need to be an admin to remove a speedy tag. On the other hand, I delete--not just tag, but delete-- an average of at about twice that, as can be seen from my log--for that, i did have to get the mop, so I couldnt start till they let me. Pity the preceding challenge was withdrawn, as I'd sort of like to have both of them. Is DGG (talk) 00:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Sure, sounds great. May be a little long-term though. Whoops, my last attempt at this screwed up the whole page (mental note: you must close nowiki tags... :)). So I'll try again, I recommend using {{unreferenced|date=April 2008}} rather than {{references}}.
