Thanks for visiting my talk page! You may e-mail me if the matter is not one you would like to discuss here by clicking on the link to your left; otherwise, please leave a new message at the bottom of the page. Remember to sign your posts with four tildes (~~~~) to record your signature and time of correspondence. Also, please follow regular protocol for talk pages, which includes assuming good faith and maintaining sanity and respectability (which probably isn't a guideline on WP but is to me).
Recent change of protocol: I will respond to all posts on your talk page; likewise, if I place a comment on your page, please respond to it here. I will only respond on your page if follow-up on mine has not been reached for three or four days, or if you have already set the opposite pattern in previous correspondence. I will normally respond to any questions, comments, corrections, or other messages of the sort normally whenever I have the time. Please...be patient. I was recently on a long wiki-break (torture!). Thanks always, --LaPianísta! [edit] Guest BookI want to thank you for signing my guest book. By the way, I signed yours, too. Chibi-anime-Girl 19:52, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBotSuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping. If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker. P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 20:59, 30 April 2008 (UTC) [edit] Heya!Sorry I didn't go with your block request, I'm kinda tied up in real life, and unfortunately Wikipedia takes the back seat in these cases. Anyway, I figure this might be a great time to introduce some really useful Wikipages to you. If you ever see someone who's vandalizing pages and hasn't been blocked, feel free to report them to WP:AIV. That page is staffed with at least a dozen admins at any time, so they should be able to help; just follow the instructions on the page. Try not to report users who haven't vandalized more than 3 times in recent time (for IPs, say the last two hours). Warn the users adequately, and if they keep vandalizing, report them. Severity of vandalism is also a factor, but I trust your judgement. :) Also, if a page is being attacked by more than a few users, you can try WP:RFPP, which will also help you get a page locked for a while (usually temporarily) so that vandals can't reach it. There are plenty of other pages which you'll probably notice in the header bar at the top of those pages, so feel free to explore. In my opinion, WP:AN and WP:ANI are the most useful; if you ever feel like learning some stuff, reading what's happening on those should be very enlightening. Anyway, cheers! :) Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 03:57, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Peer review/Facebook/archive3Hi, you peer reviewed Facebook a few weeks ago. If you have time, could you please take a second look at the article as it is now and post some comments at the peer review? Please let us know if the comments you posted last time have been addressed or not. I would like to bring the article to FAC soon, so any copyediting help would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks! [edit] Request for peer reviewThanks for the review of the Synthesizer article. Could you please peer review Macintosh Classic for me when possible? Peer review page is here. Thanks! — Wackymacs (talk) 19:41, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks!Ha, I can now use italics! Thanks for helping me out, La Pianista. I really appreciate it. [edit] Sig problem{{helpme}} This might be minor, but why does my signature disrupt the surrounding space? I'm...more than a little ticked. --LaPianista! 19:05, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Peer review/PowerBook 100/archive1When you have the time, of course. Thanks for your help with the Macintosh Classic article, BTW. — Wackymacs (talk) 11:18, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Chopin, 1848-1849Hello again. Hope you are enjoying the nice weather. There has been some editing on the 'Final two years' of Chopin in the past few days, so I should be grateful for you taking a look at the discussion page. Many thanks. Jean de Beaumont (talk) 13:02, 11 May 2008 (UTC) [edit] Echinodermata and RomanticsHi LP! Thanks immeasurably for the artsfish (my very first). I would have replied earlier, but I am lazy and also preoccupied in The World (macro- and microcosmic). Hardly doing anything WPedic just now. I will be happy to give you a personalised answer to any question, since I have never responded to anything of yours at the ref desk. Here is a voucher:(Pardon my parchment. Clean out of recycled paper.) And here are questions for you: Do you agree that Chopin's Prélude in C♯ minor, opus 45 (the only one with its own opus number), is the most beautiful thing in creation? Well, equal third best, I mean. Why is it not played more often, and celebrated more by the angels? I'll scrutinise your page. More soon. –⊥¡ɐɔıʇǝoNoetica!T– 06:28, 13 May 2008 (UTC) [edit] Smile!ShakespearesZombie has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. [edit] Can you copyedit 2008 attacks on North Indians in Maharashtra? To be frank I had approached another user before but due other commitments the user (user:Finetooth) politely declined. However she gave me link WP:PRV and thats how I reached here. 2008 attacks on North Indians in Maharashtra is written in Indian English (uses British variants) however thats not a major concern I guess. [edit] RollbackI have granted you rollback as you requested, I doubt there will be any problems with you :). You should read over WP:RBK, to make sure you are clear in your understanding of when, and when not, to use rollback. Additionally, you mentioned you were using Lupin's tool, which is a nice tool, but I would strongly recommend you try out Huggle, which is without a doubt the best anti-vandalism tool out there, especially now that you have rollback. If you find you prefer a browser based solution, Twinkle is another option, for Firefox users. Let me know if you need anything, and enjoy 'rollbacking'! Chubbennaitor 15:26, 19 May 2008 (UTC) Oh yes. I was lonely when I posted that and I was working my socks off on the Newsletter. I was the only one with Diniz doing the rare 'copyedit'- his phrase. PHEW it's still hard work but one thing has been taken off my back. Chubbennaitor 20:24, 19 May 2008 (UTC) No reason. Chubbennaitor 20:25, 19 May 2008 (UTC) has smiled at you! I have Madman Muntz up for FA review and was wondering if you have the time and inclination, if you'd mind giving it a thorough copyedit? One or two others have worked on it too, but the FA guys seem to think the prose can use work and I'm honestly pretty mindwiped at this point. Thanks! [edit] Request for Peer Review helpThank you for you work as a peer review volunteer. Since March, there has been a concerted effort to make sure all peer review requests get some response. Requests that have gone three days or longer without a substantial response are listed at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog. I have three requests to help this continue. 1) If you are asked to do a peer review, please ask the person who made the request to also do a review, preferably of a request that has not yet had feedback. This is fairly simple, but helps. For example when I review requests on the backlog list, I close with Hope this helps. If my comments are useful, please consider peer reviewing an article, especially one at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog (which is how I found this article). Yours, ... 2) While there are several people who help with the backlog, lately I have been doing up to 3 or 4 peer reviews a day and can not keep this up much longer. We need help. Since there are now well over 100 names on the PR volunteers page, if each volunteer reviewed just one PR request without a response from the list each month, it would easily take care of the "no response" backlog. To help spread out the load, I suggest those willing pick a day of the month and do a review that day (for example, my first edit was on the 8th, so I could pick the 8th). Please pick a peer review request with no responses yet, if possible off the backlog list. If you want, leave a note on my talk page as to which day you picked and I will remind you each month. 3) I have made some proposals to add some limits to peer review requests at Wikipedia_talk:Peer_review#Proposed_limits. The idea is to prevent any one user from overly burdening the process. These seem fairly reasonable (one PR request per editor per day, only four total PR requests per editor at a time, PR requests with cleanup banners can be delisted (like GAN quick fail), and wait two weeks to relist a PR request after it is archived), but have gotten no feedback in one week. If you have any thoughts on these, please weigh in. Thanks again for your help and in advance for any assistance with the backlog. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:57, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Liszt concerto sheetsHello, the sheets for Piano Concerto No. 1 (Liszt) (2-piano reduction), can be found here, at Piano.ru, as requested here. ALTON .ıl 23:57, 31 May 2008 (UTC) [edit] Peer review requestI saw your name on the peer review list and was so excited that you listed 18th- and 19th-century literature as an interest. I study that area and am busy writing Wikipedia articles in that area. Speaking of, I was wondering whether you had time to review Maurice? It is a children's story by Mary Shelley. I would really appreciate it. Thanks! Awadewit (talk) 02:16, 1 June 2008 (UTC) [edit] CopyeditI'm sorry, you appear to be busy, but I how would you like to copy edit McGill University? It has gone through two peer reviews, has been promoted to GA. And several users, such as (AccuratEdit)(talk) and (The Dover Demon)(talk) and me have contributed a hell lot to this article, particularly AccuratEdit. So, please, take your time and have a quick peek at least at the article. Thanks, --Sunsetsunrise (talk) 12:09, 1 June 2008 (UTC) [edit] Good copyeditors are in high demandThanks again for your help on Madman Muntz, which has been promoted to FA! As someone noted above, it looks like you're pretty well buried, but if you have the time and inclination, I was wondering if you'd be willing to work on Steve Dahl? I have it at peer review currently. I'm planning on bringing it to FAC in the near future and would like to have it a bit cleaner than Muntz was when I first submitted it. I'll ask a few others as well, so if you're too busy, no worries. Nobody of Consequence (talk) 06:02, 5 June 2008 (UTC) [edit] A barnstar for you
