Shades of Deep Purple Tour is a short tour by British hard rock band Deep Purple to support their debut album Shades of Deep Purple. Tour lasted over 1 month and included only 8 dates (7 in the UK and 1 in the Switzerland). It was the band's first home-tour.[1]

[edit] Pre-History
After a short debut tour the band recorded their first album in just one weekend and then confirmed their first UK dates.[2]. Album was realased only in the USA and charted #24 there. It included hit single Hush which peaked #4 and threw Deep Purple in the USA mainstream. Though Shades of Deep Purple Tour included only UK dates. No Live recordings from this tour are realased yet.
