[edit] Northern Lights Council
All of North Dakota is in the Northern Lights Council (NLC), formed in 1974 when several councils were merged into one. As of 2006, Northern Lights Council serves all of North Dakota, and parts of South Dakota, northwest Minnesota and northeast Montana.

[edit] Pa-Hin Lodge #27
Pa-Hin Lodge 27 is the local lodge of the Order of the Arrow for the Northern Lights Council. The Pa-Hin Lodge was created in 1976 and serves Boy Scouts in the states of North Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, and South Dakota.
The Pa-Hin Lodge was formed in 1976 through the merger of four lodges following the merger of councils into the Northern Lights Council.
The four Lodges which merged to form Pa-Hin were:
- Thunderbird lodge (371)
- Chan-O-Wapi lodge (52)
- Minniduta lodge (176)
- Chatoka lodge (183)
[edit] Girl Scouting in North Dakota
On July 1, 2007 the three Girl Scout councils of North Dakota and the three in South Dakota will finish merging to form one council, Girl Scouts - Dakota Horizons, which will serve girls in both those states and in several counties in north-western Minnesota. The headquarters will be in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. See Scouting in South Dakota for more information on the new council.
There are three Girl Scout council offices in North Dakota.

Girl Scouts-Pine to Prairie Council

Pine to Prairie Council was chartered in 1963 and manages Girl Scouting in 33 counties of eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota, serving over 5,600 girls.
Girl Scouts of Sakakawea Council
Bismarck, North Dakota[3]
Chartered in 1960, Sakakawea council serves nearly 2000 girls in 19 North Dakota counties and 2 South Dakota counties.
