[edit] History
The band - which originally comprised of vocalist Tyson Stevens, guitarists DJ Wilson and Chad Crawford, and drummer Peter Costa - recorded their debut EP, After Dark, whilst they were still in high school.[1]
The band released their first full-length album in 2005. Entitled The City Sleeps in Flames, it was recorded in five weeks and produced by Brian McTernan.[1]
Their second, self-titled album was released on August 28, 2007.[2]Pouyan Afkary spoke of the album saying, "We were so proud of this album that we had no other name for it. This is what Scary Kids is all about to this day."
In January, 2008, the band was awarded a Libby Award by Peta for Best Newcomers. SKSK received the award for their work in speaking up against KFC for Peta's 'I Am Not A Nugget' campaign.[3]
Immortal Records, to which Scary Kids Scary Kids were signed, has ceased to operate as of November 2007 and the band are yet to announce their signing to another label.[4]
