From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Brian McTernan is a record producer who has worked with many independent rock bands. He works out of the Baltimore, MD area at Salad Days Studio.

Brian was also the lead singer of the hardcore/straight edge outfit Battery, as well as the guitar player for Ashes. He comes from a family with many hardcore ties. His brother Mike McTernan was the singer for Damnation A.D., and currently sings for When Tigers Fight. His brother Peter played drums for Good Clean Fun for a short period of time.

At one point the three brothers were interviewed for a 20/20 segment on the straight edge lifestyle. Brian was also interviewed on Americas Most Wanted.

[edit] Salad Days

Salad Days is the name of the studio owned and operated by Brian. Its name is taken from the Minor Threat song of the same name. The studio originally started in Boston in the mid-90s before moving to a basement on Longfellow Street in North West Washington, DC. It later relocated to a more professional setting in Beltsville, MD. Most recently Brian moved the studio to a state-of-the-art warehouse space in the Fells Point neighborhood in Baltimore.
