Salutations. I am fezmar9. It's a word I made up followed by a number that means nothing to me. I am a 19 year old male currently attending the University of Colorado at Boulder. So far I've been figuring out the rules to this site by being corrected. I welcome the criticism. It helps me know how to be notable contributor to this site without reading every single page of rules.
My first contribution (after setting up an account) was creating a page for a band that wasn't notable in August 2007. The page was deleted shortly after that (one user that assisted in its deletion accused me of trying to get laid by advertising "my band" on wikipedia). So I read up on what is and what is not notable, and continued editing. Every time I ran into a problem such as this, I figured out why what I did was wrong, learned from my mistakes and carried on. So please, tell me when I make a mistake. I understand that I am new and don't fully know what I am doing yet.

[edit] My contributions (1) (2)
A large majority of my edits have been to music pages, band pages, and album pages. Most of these edits are organizing, styling, and addition of information to discographies. I also add current and future information to articles in this same vein - I enjoy writing history as it happens.
[edit] Major
Up until recently my more "major" additions to wikipedia have included: uploading album covers and adding them to their proper places, creating new pages for new albums, and condensing information into tables. I have been interested in writing articles, but have felt that my "encyclopedic style of writing" is a little rusty and it always comes out in a more magazine article style. I have made my first few steps toward being a writer for wikipedia, however. Please check out any of my articles crossed off below and tell me how I am doing. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
I recently started to research and write/rewrite history pages for bands. Many smaller bands have too short of a history, or a history consisting primarily of unregistered users adding one sentence beginning with "In a recent MySpace bulletin..." I want to sift through these articles and research and write/rewrite their history sections.
[edit] Minor
Common minor contributions of mine include: spelling and grammar (although I am not that great myself), removing vandalism (has the word 'poop' been on every page yet?), table and info box issues (most of my minor edits), incorrect links, and random extra spaces.
