[edit] Club career
Papac has played for NK Široki Brijeg in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina and FC Kärnten and also Austria Vienna in Austria. He gained a move to Vienna after Kärnten were relegated from the top flight in season 2003-04. He played exactly one hundred matches for Kärnten and scored five goals as well.
He currently plays for Scottish Premier League club Rangers after signing on August 31, 2006 for £450,000.[1] He became Rangers' third signing from Austria Vienna in the 2006 summer transfer window, after Libor Sionko and Filip Šebo. In total he played 76 games for Vienna and notched up three goals.
Papac made his first appearance for Rangers on September 17, 2006, coming on as a half time substitute for Stevie Smith in an Scottish Premier League game against Hibernian. The side went on to lose the match two goals to one.[2]
He was linked with a move to Saint-Etienne in the summer but rejected it in order to claim a first-team spot.[3]
[edit] International career
Papac quit international football in March 2007, saying "I am totally finished with the national team. There are too many problems with the national association."[4] In January 2008, he decided to return to the international set under new boss Meho Kodro.
