[edit] 3RR, vandalism and POV

For the edit conflict, I repost my comment here. I thought the newbie solely are making disruptive editing without enough knowing rules here but you're doing the same thing. Please don't accuse the other of vandalism. In my eye, you are not much different from the other. And you also violated 3rr already along with the newbie.--Appletrees (talk) 21:01, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

I am well aware I violated 3RR, I said as much in my report on him. RogueNinjatalk 21:05, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
You have been blocked from editing for a short time in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

I may have reconsidered but you'd gone all the way to 5RR or 6RR and the other party was at least trying other edits. Plus you shouldn't be using the "vandalism" term unless the edits are obviously in bad-faith. —Wknight94 (talk) 21:19, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Book cover image is not invalid "fair use" image

[edit] 3RR warning

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Song Duk Ki. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Actually you already violated 3rr again together with the newbie. Please stop the disruption and don't resort to retaliation--Appletrees (talk) 22:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, I don't think it is a clear violation. You could've talked the newbie first at his talk page and then revised the wording. You seem to keep doing that as a revenge. --Appletrees (talk) 22:31, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I did tell him, several times not to revert the template. He responded by trying to give me a vandalism warning. I understand he doesnt speak good English, but this is the English wikipedia, and I dont speak Korean. RogueNinjatalk 22:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I know both of you are problematic but you're an established long-time editor and don't give him a time! You first called him a vandal. --Appletrees (talk) 22:37, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jaina Solo AfD / Jacen Solo AfD

New comments that may be of interest to you have been posted in the AfDs. User:Dorftrottel 20:22, January 23, 2008

[edit] Jacen Solo

Partially as a result of your vote to keep the article, the AfD resulted in "no consensus". Since you are convinced that Wikipedia should have an article on Jacen Solo, please stand by that and help get this article to the bare minimum encyclopedic standards. This includes a complete rewrite from a non-in-universe perspective, accompanied by reliable, third-party secondary sources.

If however the article has not been brought up to this bare minimum within the next 4 weeks, I will consider resubmitting it for deletion.

Regards, User:Dorftrottel 02:41, January 30, 2008

No, there's no deadline, but I'm setting one up to prove a point. Something must be done about the galopping decline in editorial standards with particular regard to the Star Wars mess. So, work on it, or you will have even less of an argument if and when I nominate this "article" again. User:Dorftrottel 10:39, January 30, 2008

[edit] The "harassment" page

Ummmm...no offence but, why are you threatening to delete the page even when you are not an administrator? Isn't it their job to do that?

I didn't mean to go off on you like that. I was just wondering what was going on. Thanks.

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Quantic Dream

You don't reopen an old discussion to make a new one; instead, you create a page with (2nd nomination) in the name. I fixed it for you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 01:34, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of T%u014Don-ry%u016B

A tag has been placed on T%u014Don-ry%u016B requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey, it happens from time to time. No worries. Cheers! DJBullfish 02:21, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tōon-ryū

It appears you tried to mark Tōon-ryū for deletion but no discussion was made. I fixed it for you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 02:45, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Reversion

Regarding this edit. the link you restored contains about 5% of the source linked right above it. (In particular, it lacks the criticism of the claims provided in that source.) Furthermore, it's a blog, which fails to cut it per WP:RS. Furthermore, I think it fits in the Links normally to be avoided category #12. I think you should undo your edit. — Scientizzle 00:56, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I wish to express my gratitude for your advice.

I wish to express my gratitude for the comment of you of Talk:Imperial House of Japan. And, please help me again. I use poor English. Therefore, I do not understand the reason why Appletrees gets excited. Could you concisely explain his insistence? Because his rebuttal is complex, I do not understand. --Princesunta (talk) 11:13, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD's

Can you add any Martial arts related deletions to Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Martial arts as you have nominated several recently & it helps keep track of them. There is a java-script thing somewhere that adds the text automatically (though not the link), I have it in my monobook.js if you wan to get it from there. --Nate1481(t/c) 09:53, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Green eyed monster

I am very high ranked in the uk, and very well known, I write for many martial art magazine, and run a good mma club with good fighters, I have trained in most tradititional styles, but I have nothing to prove to you, I through my Gi out years ago, along with all the karate politics, I was probably training when you sitting on your mums knee lol. It seems to me if it ain't karate your getting it up for speedy, what I put on my page is up to me, and I don't have to prove a thing. lets just say I am known in the uk. I don't want to get into who is better than who, I started in karate and like all things, some is good some is bad, just like people, some good some bad, I like Knock down Karate, how ever I have moved on, and left the traditional behind, its ok as an art. I hope you may move on and become a true martail artist and leave the ego behind, this is not a personal attack, im tring and have tried to be another fellow martial artist. What do you think my record is ? My 4th Dan is under 8th Dave Turton, my 1st dan is under 6th Paul Griffin who is head of the BNMA, I have dan grades in Ju Jit su and Judo under world champion Grand Master Martin Clarke of th international Budo federation, I also have a 3rd degree Tae kwon do, I am Mauy Thai coach santioned by king of the ring Mauy Thai, aslo a ABA Boxing coach. and I have fought on some of the early mma shows in the uk and competed in Judo in the 1970's under Brian Jacks. I have aslo trained with Master Steve Morris who was told by yammachi that he was his best student ever in Go ju Karate. I am now a full time martial art coach. If you need any thing answered about your martial art training, just ask.--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 21:20, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Sparring Certainly Mate, but beaware it not karate sparring, we teach mma e-mail at valhallacombatsittingbourne@yahoo.com we don't spar, it full contact we train hard and fight easy, it would suit more of a mma back ground, but we would be happy for you to join in, have you any experience in mma ?--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 07:08, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Comment By the way we call it a gym, not a Do jo, Do Jo is a Japanise name for a karate school, we are a gym, we have no conection with Japan, We teach Mauy Thai as Stand up, Wrestling, sombo and BBJ for ground work so they are from England, Russia and Brazil and Thailand. Where abouts in the uk are you--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 07:12, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Friendly Comment My comments are all friendly, yet a hint a touch, personal attacks in your comment, with very clever wording lol, did not get your record, you say you practice karate, what grade are you ? how long have you been training ? do you train in any other MA ? By the way you coninue to have this online grudge with me, its not healthy for the spirit and mind, and is not true martial art spirit, and does not the emphasis of real martial artist, I am happy to anwser any questions you have regarding MA, but I must with draw from petty arguements as this is not the martial way, I left my ego behind many many years ago, when this is done in martial arts, it can truely be a great thing.--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 07:30, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Comment I have done a bit of commando Krav marga , could stuff, some the stuff I have done with Geoff Thompson BBJ Is great stick with that, id do some mauy thai for stand up.--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 08:24, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Commets Yeah I know CKM is not krav maga, I have done a few seminars in both,I am more into ring/cage fighting than self defence didnt really rate CKM, have a friend that is a Instructor at Lewisham Krav Maga. I have been in the game 30 years I have worked the door, and trained secrutiy so I know what works and what does not. One of mt Students is now a purple belt in BBJ, its great for ground work, we aslo like to do no-gi work like wrestling and Greco Roman, What are you training for, for fun, for the street or to compete?--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 08:46, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
our gym is in Kent if you are looking at competing, whats is it you want to compete in, if it is MMA, you need a good stand up ieBoxing Or Mauy Thai then stick with the BBJ, but karate unless its knock down, will not be enough for stand up, you need clinch work ect, you can compete in Karate ie katas, free forms, sparring, and knock down, knock down is great top watch.--Diamonddannyboy

CKD Most the problems with CKD are ex-instructors or ex students mainly fromother organisation that now teach the CKD techniques like Koos self defence, Dynamic self defence, QI kwon do, Dynamic Choi kwon do, some of these only changed there name slightly, they all teach Choi kwang do, but under another heading, its a great art that uses modern science and not traditional moves, if you get a chance might be worth a look, but again its for the street not ring--Diamonddannyboy (talk) 09:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Very Large Hadron Collider

Thanks for the notification; I see that the issue is already resolved. I do wish you'd done a bit more homework before nominating, of course. I agree the article was a very short stub—perhaps the AfD will inspire a bit of cleanup and addition of sources. -- SCZenz (talk) 17:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
