Roadside Romeo is a forthcoming Bollywood animated film that will have Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor lend their voices to animated characters for the first time.[1]

Written and directed by debutante Jugal Hansraj, who acted in films such as Mohabbatein (2000) and Salaam Namaste (2005), this will be the first animated film that is an India-U.S. co-production of Yash Raj Films and the Walt Disney Company.[2] The film will utilize state-of-the-art computer-animation technology done entirely in India[2] as well as feature music, dances, songs and romance just like any other film produced by Yash Raj Films.[3] Roadside Romeo is scheduled to release on October 24, 2008 and will be produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra under Yash Raj Films.[4]

The alliance by Yash Chopra and Dick Cook is a first in the field of animation.[2] The first trailer of the film was shown on October 12, 2007 with the release of the film Laaga Chunari Mein Daag.[5] According to souces, Yash Raj Films are reported to have completed 60% of the film's work.[6]

A rich, cool, spoiled brat of a dog is abandoned on the wicked streets of Mumbai. He faces new situations and dangerous, loony characters, the likes of which he has never met before.[7]
