Richard Daughty is general partner and COO for Smith Consultant Group, but is perhaps more known as the writer of The Mogambo Guru, an economic newsletter, which according to the editor is 'an avocational exercise to heap disrespect on those who desperately deserve it'.
Mogambo in Swahili, is the word for 'big gorilla', and is perhaps a suitable name for a man who describes himself as 'the angriest guy in economics'. Being a believer in Austrian hard-money economics, his criticism is frequently directed at central bankers and inflationary monetary policies.
