The Mogambo Guru is a fictional character created by Richard Daughty, general partner and COO for Smith Consultant Group. The Mogambo Guru character appears in humorous columns in the The Mogambo Guru economic newsletter, where he gives his (mostly critical) opinion about economic issues such as inflation, money creation and central banking. The column is widely circulated through blogs[1] [2] and financial websites[3] [4] that -- often with permission -- reproduce the column. The column also runs in the world economy section on Asia Times's website [5].
