RASHID, born Mduduzi Khumalo is a Hip Hop artist from Thokoza township in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is best known for his break-out free approach for influencing the youth to join the Hip Hop movement[citation needed]. Thokoza is a slum suburb created by the former apartheid government as a means of segregating the native black people from the white people. This disenfranchised past has served as a source of inspiration and drive for his musical content[citation needed].
