Azerbaijani hip hop

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hip hop music is a musical genre from the United States. The style adapted well to Azerbaijani music because of the native practice of meykhana, a kind of unaccompanied song, usually performed by several people improvising on a particular subject. The first rap track was created by Azerbaijan's national hero Chingiz Mustafayev in 1980s.
