Randall Brenes Moya (born August 13, 1983) is a Costa Rican professional football forward who currently plays for Norwegian team F.K. Bodø/Glimt at the Tippeligaen.
[edit] Club career
Nicknamed El Chiqui(Chiquito = Short or Small), due his height when he was at youth levels, he turned professional with C.S. Cartaginés before moving to the north of Norway. Making an impressive rookie season scoring 21 goals in only 30 games.
He joined F.K. Bodø/Glimt with his compatriot Roy Miller who was also a teammate in C.S. Cartaginés, being transferred at the same time when the team (F.K. Bodø/Glimt) was part of the norwegian first division (Tippeligaen). The team played Div.2 in 2006 where Brenes was top scorer with 13 goals, 6 of them off headers. In 2007, the team gained promotion to the Tippeliga(Div.1) after winning a home and away matches against Odd Grenland from the Tippeliga. The team Bodø/Glimt has so far been the big positive surprise in the Tippeliga and as of end of May 2008, is third. Brenes' compatriot Roy Miller, meantime, has been sold to Rosenborg of Trondheim.
[edit] International career
He made his debut for the Ticos in 2005 as a substitute against Cuba at the CONCACAF Gold Cup Finals, immediately making an impact by scoring 2 goals. Since then, has collected 2 more caps.
